My logo was inspired by my heritage and cultural influences from traveling the world. For my research I looked at the andinkra symbols, which are symbols that originate from the Ashanti region in Ghana. I have traveled to Ghana multiple times, therefore Ghana and its rich culture is an immense part of my life and work and has shaped my personality. Each symbol portrays a character that it stands for. The symbol I chose was the nkosonkonson; the attributes it depicts are unity and human relationship. The meaning of the symbol describes the two things that are important to me. In addition to that symbol I illustrated the one moment in my life that changed everything. It was the day my biological mother decided to give me up for adoption and my adoptive mother adopted me and took me from Colombia to Switzerland. This event gave me an entire new future filled of world opportunities. My final logo is inspired by the nkosonkonson symbol and my adoption that I illustrated using a pregnant women holding her stomach in a loving way, which shows the love that was given to me.
